Freestyle kicking technique
I took a swimming technique class a number of years ago. The teacher had us watch a film taken from under water showing proper kicking. Up to that point my kicking gave me almost no propulsion at all. After watching the video I could go just about full speed without using my arms. It was an instant change.
I forgot how to do it! I am back to going nowhere. Is the main propulsion from the down stroke or upstroke? Should I keep my knees completely straight or bend them a little? How much should I point my toes? Etc. Thanks.
