I need help with my flip turn! Does anyone have any advice? The hardest part is when I am flipping I keep getting water up my noes.
It is mostly focusing on breath control. It is essential to exhale thru the nose while flipping so the water doesn't go in! Start to notice on your regular breathing pattern while swimming - do you exhale thru your mouth or nose or both? Then, as you approach the wall to turn, simply focus your attention to your breathing, and make sure that the exhalation you do on the flipturn is only thru your nose. It sounds simple, but it may be just the trick - hope this helps!
