Lifeguard or security guard
I wanted to know what it's like to be a lifeguard. Heard they earn decent wages- $10 per hour in smaller cities, all the way to $20 per hour in huge pools, and those guards at the beach are living the life I guess.
From my understanding, all they do is just explain the swimming rules and enforce them upon people those who fail to disobey. There has to be a lot of free time and I've started attending swimming classes.
However, there are many risks involved; if a person is caught in the waves and drifting further into the ocean, it's going to be a rough day for you, or it might as well be your last.
On the other hand, the life of an official security guard is more comfortable especially in cities like Toronto where the crime rate is minimal.
