  • I am curious how to swim for weight loss. Does it differ from regular lap swimming? Does one stroke burn more calories than the others?

  • Swimming is great for weight loss, especially the butterfly stroke-- which burns the most amount of calories per lap! The water causes a natural, low-impact resistance which works in your favor burning calories quicker, while simultaneously building muscle without causing any stress on your joints.

    Swimming laps regularly (3+ times per week) is what really helped me lose weight. Depending on your skill level, try swimming for at least an hour each time you’re in the pool!
